South America is a continent that comprises the southern part of America. There are 13 countries in South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, France (French Guiana), Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela. South America is a continent rich in diversity, which reveals to the world great cinematographic artists such as the Brazilians Glauber Rocha and Nelson Pereira dos Santos, the Argentines Fernando Solanas and Leonardo Favio, and the Chileans Raúl Ruíz, Miguel Littin and Lautaro Murúa. This movement was called "New Latin American Cinema". A continent that does not breathe without the presence of art, and from which new talents emerge at all times. Thinking of this factory that thrives on sensitivity and creativity, we created the South America Awards, the first bimonthly festival in South America, whose intention is to select and award films every two months. And at the end of the year, win the annual grand prize generated by a contest among the winners of the last few months. The festival is not exclusive to South American films. Our intention is to promote an exchange between filmmakers and viewers from around the world. Therefore, film registration is authorized for all countries in the world.
